Physician Assistant
The UNT Health PA program is Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited. Program graduates are eligible to take the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination (PANCE) leading to National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification. All 50 states and The District of Columbia Physician Assistant and/or Medical Licensure Boards recognize the UNT Health PA Master’s Degree and/or NCCPA certification to apply for state licensure.
Physical Therapy
The UNT Health PT program is Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited. Program graduates are eligible to take the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). All 50 states and The District of Columbia Physical Therapy Licensure Boards recognize the UNT Health Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree and FSBPT certification to apply for state licensure.
Additional components, jurisprudence exams, and/or a more extensive background check than what is required for UNT Health CHP students may be required in the state licensure process. Graduates should review the additional state licensure requirements in their desired practice state.
