Drug Drop Box Program

As part of the UNT Health Fort Worth Police Department’s commitment to providing a safe campus community, the department has installed a drug drop box in the lobby of the Police Department located at 3600 Mattison Ave. Unused and discarded medications (pills) can be a potential risk of abuse or environmental contamination.
This box will be available to the public 24/7 to deposit unneeded prescription and over-the-counter pills and gel caps.
No plastic bottles
Please place all pills in a plastic ziploc bag. Ziploc bags are available if needed.

- Over-the-counter medications (pills)
- Vitamins (pills & gel caps)
- Samples (pills)
- Medications for pets (pills)
*Medications must be placed in a Ziploc bag before being placed in the Drug Collection Unit.
NOT ACCEPTED
- Needles (Sharps)
- Thermometers
- Inhalers
- Medication from businesses or clinics
- Ointments, Lotions or Liquids
- Prescription Patches
As needed, the drop box will be emptied by a police officer and all medications will be securely transported to an appropriate disposal facility in accordance with the Texas Controlled Substances Act.
